Margaritaville at Sea Islander Sailing November 18 - 24, 2025 from Tampa
Welcome to our “Details of how to be on the Inaugural Cruise”
AKA the “Formerly Impossible Cruise”
I’m just going to say it. This is a lot of information. This cruise is what is known as “Proof of Concept.” Which means everyone thought it was impossible and we are proving it can be done. YOUR ACTIONS are a huge part of that responsibility. Each person chosen is an Ambassador for every future dog cruise.
We are going to have a blast, take a thousand pictures, eat too much, see exotic ports and spend as much time as you like with your family, all of them. It’s not our boat and to be permitted to make this dream and future cruises happen, we are being cautious.
The cruise line must maintain certain health and safety protocols. Cruise Tails created the first plan ever to maintain those protocols while hosting hundreds of dogs onboard. With future cruises in mind, we designed our Inaugural dog requirements with an overabundance of caution. This cruise must be FLAWLESS. While some of our requirements may seem restrictive, keep in mind once we have proof of concept, we can “loosen the leash.” So, the sooner we can get this first one completed perfectly, the sooner we can start arranging more dog-centric cruises (we already have plans for #2!)
#1 “I WANNA GET ONBOARD” TIP: Get Organized. Dog owners with 2 or 3 associated cabins ready to book at the same time will be given preference initially.
The Cruise!
Just a few tidbits…
6 Nights and 7 Days of Dancing, Eating, Prancing, Guest Speakers, Posting, Splashing, Exotic Ports, Costumes, Shopping, Celeb Experiences, Celebrating you Events, Endless Surprises, Fun, More Eating, Contests, Parades…
#1: Read the FAQs - They answer a lot of questions about what to expect on the cruise.
Is this Inaugural Cruise a good fit for you?
The Protocols: The basics you need to adhere to be a good Ambassador.
No one wants to be “that” person. You may be excited to go; however, if you know in your heart you will not be able to comply with these protocols, please make the unselfish choice and wait until a future cruise where we anticipate being able to “loosen the leash” on some of the protocols.
These protocols are in place for two reasons:
Ensuring the safety of all passengers and staff, including our beloved pets.
Maintaining the health and logistic requirements set by the health department, the cruise line and other countries.
